Frequently asked questions

Short answers about what Bargains watches, when it records a drop, and what can fail.

What is Bargains?

Bargains is a free price-drop radar for product URLs. It stores prices we actually fetch and records a drop only when the parsed price falls. Read About; the live site and domain are listed at /sell.

How do I start a watch?

On the watch form, submit a product page URL and email; a target price is optional. Bookmark the secret link you receive — you can change the email, change or clear the target, or set a private note there later. You can test the flow with the demo mixer.

When do you email a drop?

The first successful fetch is a baseline only. Later, we email when a successful fetch is lower than the previous stored price and, if set, at or below your target—provided mail is configured. The drop is recorded either way. See the terms.

Why can’t you read my shop’s price?

Some shops block automated fetches, render prices only in JavaScript, or omit markup we can parse. We keep the watch and record an error; we never invent a price. Try the demo mixer or send feedback.

Is this a coupon or deal site?

No. Bargains is not a coupon or deal-aggregation site. The public Alerts log contains only price drops we actually fetched. Read About.

How do I stop a watch?

Open the secret watch link and choose Stop watching. That pauses checks and drop emails; the secret link and history stay. Use Resume watching on the same page to start again. Delete watch on that page permanently removes the watch.

Where is my data and privacy information?

There are no accounts. A watch stores the email, product URL, optional target, and fetched prices and timestamps needed to run it. You can delete the watch from the secret link. Public Alerts omit emails and secret watch links. Read Privacy and the terms, or use feedback for a request.
